Graham Jones - Managing Director & Sole Owner
Graham started in shipping in 1970, as a ships operator at the age of 20 years old, working for Freight Services. In 1977 he joined Combine Cargo, as the ships agency manager. Combine Cargo later became Combine Ocean and in 1980 Graham was promoted to assistant branch manager. In 1989 as the branch manager of Combine Ocean, Graham left to take over as the managing director of Mentor Shipping which at that time was part of the Devonia Shipping (Pty) Ltd Group.

On the 14th April 1993 he gained sole ownership of Mentor shipping and the company has be run as an independent ships agency since, under the sole ownership of Graham Jones. Graham's passion for the shipping industry and exceptional high standards of personalized service, has given him the reputation of being one of the top Ships Agents along the African coast line.

Darryl Jones - General Manager
Darryl started working at Mentor Shipping in December 1994, as a ships operator. In 1999 he was promoted to operations manager and in 2003 took over the operations of the accounts department and overseeing the ships operations, which lead to his appointment as general manager in 2005. Darryl over the years has become involved in the promotion and marketing of Mentor Shipping, both locally and internationally, making visits to Mentors' numerous Principals worldwide.

Craig Krause - Operations Manager
Craig joined Mentor Shipping in March 2000 as a ships operator; prior to his appointment at Mentor he was a junior surveyor at S.G.S.. In 2004 Craig was promoted to Operations Manager and he manages the operations of Head Office and all Mentor's coastal offices. Craig is recognized for his hard work and dedication to the company, working directly with all our Principals to solve any operational problems and he is well known for his sense of humor even when the going gets tough.

Francois du Toit - Ships Operator
Francois first joined Mentor Shipping in June 1990 and was with the Mentor team as a ships operator until 1994. He then left Mentor to follow a career in Wildlife Conservation and Management up in Botswana. He rejoined Mentor Shipping in June 2006 after coming back to South Africa to further his children's education. Francois is well known for his high standards of service even dating back to the 90's and has taken up where he left off in providing the high service standard Mentor is known for.
